So this year I’ve put my mind to coming up with several gift ideas that are easy and inexpensive to make, and look like fancy store bought gifts that even the most unappreciative recipient will enjoy. Quite the challenge I know!

To kick it off, I’ve made these lovely Terracotta Clay Oil Diffusers. These can be whipped up in a batch, from just a few supplies.

Candy Cane Fabric twine is perfect for adding a handmade touch to gift wrapping, team it with brown paper for an old fashioned retro look that Santa would be proud of.

You can use any old red and white fabric scraps to make this candy stripe twine.

I'm currently in the process of crocheting a striped baby blanket from this lovely speckled yarn. I'm combining it with a dark red yarn to pick up on the red flecks.

I'm just over half way, but really need to have it finished by the end of next week so I have time to write the pattern and photograph it before the month is up.

Looks like I'll be spending most of my weekend crocheting!

Hope you are having a good week
xx Cinti
