Thompson Signs for Softball

Brook Thompson of Cottage Hill Christian Academy signed to play softball with Coastal Alabama Community College in Bay Minette, AL. Brook is the daughter of Michael Thompson and Bridgett Brown. Brook has been a 5-year starter and lettered in softball for the Lady Warriors each year. She helped lead the softball program to its first ever appearance in the AHSAA regional tournament in 2013. Brook has been named as an All-County player the past two years. She is the current starting pitcher for CHCA but was actually a catcher and has filled the pitcher position for the Lady Warriors for the past four years. Brook has thrown over 450 innings for the Warriors and has recorded 512 strikeouts. She is currently hitting .354 with 17 hits and 13 RBI's. Softball is a big part of Brook’s life and has taught her many lessons and brought her many friends along the way.

Moonlight Masquerade Jr./Sr. Prom

The 2017 Jr./Sr. Prom is Saturday, April 1st at 7:00 pm at the Battle House Hotel. Parents are invited to attend Senior Call Outs at 7:30 pm in the Crystal Ballroom.

Spring Musical/Field Day

Mark April 7th on Your Calendars

Start your day with our spring musical, "He Makes All Things Beautiful!" The musical begins at 8:15 am in the CHBC Worship Center. Then enjoy field day activities, the Book Fair, lunch, preschool Easter Egg hunts, and a snack.
Students may also choose to purchase Kona Ice or nachos with proceeds going PTF and the middle school Washington D. C. trip next year! Each class will have a scheduled time to participate in each activity. All kids are to wear CHCA spirit attire (or blue and gold) and shorts with tennis shoes. It's going to be a great way to kick off Spring Break!

Senior Recognitions

Congratulations to Rachel Fleck and Drew Russ for scholarship recognition.

Rachel has been awarded $46,000 from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.
Drew has been awarded a University of South Alabama Honors Program Scholarship for $40,000.
The CHCA 2017 senior class has a total of $4,330,384 in total scholarship dollars offered to date. With a class of only 49 students, that averages $88,375 per student.

Spring Book Fair

Our Spring Book Fair will be held April 3rd-7th in the Lower School library. Make plans to stop by and pick up a book or two for your Spring Break reading enjoyment! All proceeds benefit the school library and its programs.

Lion King Jr. Production

The CHCA Lion King Jr. Broadway dinner production is coming to CHCA. Tickets are on sale now. Performances are scheduled for the evening of Thursday, April 27th, Friday, April 28th, and three performances on Saturday, April 29th.
The Solid Rock Jazz Band will entertain you as you dine on a fabulous meal catered by Tyner's Catering, Creative Catering, or Meat Boss, depending on which show time you choose. Adult tickets are $20, student tickets are $15, or a Premiere Table with seating for eight is $240. Make plans to attend.

Our Basketball Banquet for all basketball teams (elementary, middle and high school) will be on Monday, April 3, 2017. Child Care Workers Needed

Part-time and substitute teachers are needed in our EEC and Extended Care Center. Morning and afternoon positions are available. Cottage Hill Christian Academy Early Education Center is looking to employ teachers/childcare workers for ages 6 weeks-24 months. Your duties will consist of (but are not limited to) caring for the daily needs such as diaper changing, feeding, nurturing, and parent interactions as per age group assigned. You will also be responsible for keeping daily reports on each individual child while maintaining a safe, clean and loving environment.
Hours of operation are Monday-Fridays from 6 am- 6 pm.
Experience in child care is preferred, however, it is not required.
Applicants need to be:

• Dependable
• Nurturing
• Responsible

Applicants are required to:
•Complete a background check (provided by CHCA)
•Have a current Food Handlers Card
•CPR training a plus

Yellowhammer Coffee @ CHCA

The Yellowhammer Coffee truck is coming to the CHCA Church Campus on Tuesday, April 18th. They will provide coffee and drinks for purchase from 7:00 a.m. to approximately 8:15 a.m. A percentage of sales will go to upcoming student activities. Cottage Hill Christian Academy will be closed for Spring Break the week of April 10th-14th. There will be Preschool (K2-K5 ONLY) Holiday Care. The EEC will run as scheduled.
