In March, Aiken welcomes you to the heart of the action - the races! Kick-off Aiken's Triple Crown with the Aiken Trials, Spring Steeplechase, and Pacers and Polo. Not only will you get to see the races up close and personal, but you will experience the thrills of the day. From the sound of thundering hooves to cheering on your favorite horse to tailgating and stomping divots, it's a tradition you will want to start with family and friends (if you haven't already). Aiken’s second oldest home (circa 1835) elegantly restored with exquisite antiques, makes No.10 Downing Events your premier destination for special events. Located in the historic Legare-Morgan house on 241 Laurens Street SW, it's a beautiful venue for weddings, receptions, corporate events, or vacation rental. Local Chef Selected as One of the 2020 State of South Carolina Chef Ambassadors
"Malia’s | Aiken, SC - Chef Jason Tufts has served as the Executive Chef at Malia’s in downtown Aiken since 2017. Prior to that, he served as Executive Chef at the Doctors Hospital of Augusta, the Green Boundary and Woodside Plantation Country Club. He graduated from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, SC in 1999. Jason is a big proponent of using local products and was nominated by the founder of the Chef Ambassador program, Brandon Velie, of Juniper restaurant in Ridge Spring, SC." Joye in Aiken
The annual Joye in Aiken Performing Arts Festival and Education Outreach Program brings the world’s finest young musicians, actors and dancers to the charming, historic City of Aiken on March 6 - 13. Students, faculty and alumni of Juilliard travel to Aiken every March for this community-wide event. The outreach program offers local students an opportunity to attend classes and performances by this talented group. Performances are also available to the public. Joye in Aiken, founded in 2009 under the name Juilliard in Aiken, is a non-profit organization dedicated to making the very best in the performing arts available to as many of our citizens as possible, especially students. Bacon and Brews
Eat all things bacon on March 14th! Tokyo Joe will thrill the crowd with rockin’, live music, while attendees will feast on stellar bacon-themed dishes from local providers, as well as thirst-quenching beers and a selection of wines. Click here for more information.

Broadway’s Next H!t Musical
On March 31st,The Etherredge Center presents "Broadway's Next Hit Musical". Have you heard of the TONY awards? The "Broadway's Next H!t Musical" is the PHONY awards. Whose Line Is It Anyway? meets The Tony Awards. Every song is fresh. Every scene is new. Every night is different. It’s all improvised and it’s all funny. The New York Times calls Broadway’s Next Hit Musical “Hilarious!” Time Out NY says “At last! A musical of, for, and by the people.” Broadway’s Next Hit Musical is the only unscripted theatrical awards show. The audience members write down made up song titles and our master improvisers gather these suggestions and present them as “nominated songs” for this coveted award. For tickets, click here.

Aiken Horse Show
Join us in celebrating a 104 year old Hitchcock Woods Tradition: The Centennial Aiken Horse Show in the Woods! The event takes place on April 3 - 5. Whether you are an equestrian, outdoor enthusiast, history buff, local business, or simply appreciate rich new experiences - The Aiken Horse Show has something for you! Established by Mrs. Hitchcock in 1916, the Aiken Horse Show has retained its rustic charm and remains one of the foremost equestrian competitions in Aiken.
