Hello Again!

Hello Clan! Strange reports have been coming in of a large yellow object in the sky over Scotland. Locals are baffled. The Meteorological office's phone lines have been jammed. The old folk say they remember this from way back in '76. Ahh that'll be yer summer then!

Yes for the last few weeks Scotland has been basking in 'taps aff' weather (anything above freezing if you live in Glasgow)

Sadly this has also meant we've had quite a few wildfires breaking out, fortunately no one has been hurt but if you are out enjoying the countryside please take care.

The other day a friend of mine announced she was getting married! great we thought, in a few weeks time, she said... argh!!! Hardly any time to organise a gift except we happen to run the worlds largest clan shop so I'm sure we can find something!

This Clan Crest Quaich takes a little more forward planning as each is made up to order but the quaich is the perfect wedding gift, the two handed cup of friendship can be used to drink a wedding toast and will be treasured for years to come. Even better we have these on offer..

Why not give the happy couple a gift to remember and give them a hand fasting ribbon for their ceremony?

We can embroider these with the name and date and can make them up in any woven tartan. We can even make up a 'half and half' ribbon from both family tartan (small surcharge for this) on request.

This version is fully lined with gold braid on the shaped ends. Its our most popular version of the hand fasting ribbon.

How about celebrating the big day by sending Morag and Callum to join the clan?

We can dress them up in the family tartans and as these come from our 'Ancestral Bear' range they will also come with a clan history scroll that is perfect for framing.

And of course should the marriage be shortly followed by the pattering of wee Scottish feet, then they can be handed down to the next members of the clan (once they are old enough of course)

Some times you develop a new product idea and it might take a wee while before it properly takes off - over times its barely on the website a few minutes and the orders start flooding in.

The latter has definitely been the case with our Tartan Circle Skirt. We launched this a few weeks ago and have already been swamped with orders for them.

A very simple design made from ultra lightweight wool so its perfect for the warmer weather. Here is AGA testing out one she has just finished in a lovely weathered tartan - i think this looks a bit 'outlanderish' if thats really a word!

Fathers Day - Don't Forget

Just a gentle reminder that Fathers Day for most of the Scots community is next month so time is running out if you need a gift all the way from Scotland.

Browse our Fathers Day section on the ScotClans site for some idea inspiration.

And of course if you are the long suffering Dad then you can make your devoted children's life a a little easier by forwarding this email to them - you know... just being helpful :-)
