Let's Dance!

The wait is over...the new dance season is here! We want to welcome all of you to NHPA II dance studio, and thank you for being a part of our 14th season of sharing the art of dance with the Houston area community. Classes start this Monday Aug. 20 and we couldn't be more excited!

The NHPA II eNews is sent out monthly to all registered NHPA II students and provides important information about NHPA II happenings. So, please read through the eNews carefully, click on the links for more information, and let us know any feedback or questions you have.

August 20: Fall Classes begin! Make sure you're registered! Please click here to see the updated schedule...there have been small changes in the Tuesday class times!

DAILY starting August 20: Registration is being held daily during normal class hours starting Monday Aug. 20; or contact us to set up an appointment. All returning and new students need to have a completely filled out registration form by a parent or guardian for the 2018-2019 season before attending class. See more information in this newsletter.

NHPA II accepts cash or check only. August Tuition & Annual Registration fees are due at Registration. August tuition will be pro-rated. If you have any June outstanding balances, you can take care of your balances at Registration!

DAILY starting August 20: Spring Recital DVD's & Pictures will be available for pick-up in the office during normal class hours.

Registration Information

Classes for the new season begin this Monday Aug. 20 and all students must be registered!
Whether you're a returning student or a new one, each of you needs to have a 2018-2019 registration form completely filled out and signed by a parent or guardian. Registration forms and payments must be made before attending your first class. If you have not registered or made payments yet, please be sure to arrive at the studio early this first week of classes because the office will be extremely busy!
NHPA II accepts cash or check only. August tuition will be pro-rated and is due along with the Annual Registration fees at time of Registration. If you are a returning student with outstanding June tuition or other account balances, you can take care of those at time of Registration.

The New Season: Friendly Reminders

Class Placement

The first few weeks in the season will be used as "Placement" classes for each student. Our emphasis at NHPA II is on learning excellent technique, therefore students may be moved up or down in Levels at their teacher's discretion once "placement" classes have been completed. Any student that misses a consecutive 4 weeks of class without notification to an instructor or office manager will be un-enrolled from class.

Dress Code

Please take a moment to review the studio policies & dress code. Please make sure all dancers come to class in Dress Code so that they may learn, and be instructed, properly.

NHPA II does have a used shoe bin that dancers are welcome to borrow from if they forget their dance shoes or out grown their dance shoes. We encourage the dancers to take responsibility and have the proper shoes for each style of dance they are taking. For Example: If your dancer is taking a Tap class, then they will need to have Tap shoes. So please remind your dancer to come prepared with proper dance attire & shoes for their classes.

Tuition Payments

Tuition is due at your child's first class of each month and a $10 late fee will be added to tuition paid after the 1st class. Tuition is due in full for all months, September thru June. If you need to make payment arrangements, please speak to one of the instructors. We have a Tuition Drop Box located on the wall to the right of the office window for convenient payment drop-off...just please make sure your child's full name is written in the memo if paying by check. We would prefer cash payments to be made to an office administrator or instructor. If you decide to drop cash in the tuition drop box, please make sure it is in a sealed envelope with your child's first AND last name written on it so that the payment is credited to the correct account.

Lobby, Parking, & Restrooms

Our lobby and parking areas are limited in size so please be aware and plan accordingly. You are welcome to drop-off and pick-up for your students' classes.
Also, restrooms are located in each of the dance rooms. We would like to keep class distraction to a minimum so if it is necessary for an observer to use the restroom, please do so between classes instead of during.

Studio Hours of Operation

NHPA II will be open 30 minutes before the first class of each day and will close 15 minutes after the last class of each day. Please plan your drop-off and pick-up of students accordingly.
