We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "I pray your week has been going well. Winter weather seems to be coming to most of our areas, so use caution if you need to go out. I am not sure about you all but the enemy sure has been on his “A” game lately with a lot of my friends and family. I am just believing that God has so much more for us all! Just around the bend – VICTORY! Keep pressing on and believing for you MIRACULOUS. I sure am." "My Word for this week is “REFLECT.” What kind of image do we “reflect?” We are made in God’s image. Have we been letting Him down or are we shining? The Holy Spirit has been checking me lately on even my tone of voice. We may “reflect” a bad attitude, hostility, sadness, anxiousness, pridefulness, and in other ways. But – we are human and sometimes our emotions get the best of us. Let us desire a greater intimacy with the Holy Spirit like never before. Seek His presence – learn from the Holy Spirit – let Him be our guide in ALL things, not just some. Withholding nothing from Him. As we stay in His presence, no matter what comes our way, our image will “reflect” just how He wants us to be. Eagerly seeking His will not, ours. As we “reflect” His image – we will show His love to others and be able to minister to others. How wonderful is that! Let God’s love “reflect” in us this week!" For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. ~ 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (NLT) | Reminders Ligonier Connect Discipleship Training: Available for CGCC/CLC members! It was nice to be in the warm kitchen, making our favorite product! Monday began with some emergency mopping, as we had an exciting and unexpected leak in the electrical room. We spent the rest of the day doing other inside tasks as well as working on puzzles, since it was still so very cold. We even had time to start sorting clothing for the October Giveaway! Tuesday and Wednesday brought some warmer temperatures and everyone was thrilled to get outside. Our crew took a short walk...and tromping through the deep snow really works those leg muscles! We worked on some outside/greenhouse cleanup as well as finally getting our mailbox dug out so our mail can be delivered again. There were also inside tasks. We started putting some of your donated coffee grounds to use to add nutrients to soil. Then, with a luncheon and a tea coming up for the church, we also spent time in preparation for those events. Today, GG had to close due to the winter weather. We are all ready to be done with snow days!
