Dear Team NICA -
It’s hard to believe we are nearing the end of another season of fun NICA events - as this has been a truly exciting Fall season with the successful launch of five new leagues and student-athlete participation growing to our biggest year ever with over 26,800 student-athletes participating in events across both our Fall and Spring Leagues. We are pleased to announce we have renewed our long-standing partnership with PeopleForBikes to continue our work to increase access to cycling for all kids and foster the integration of trails and cycling into our local communities.
This month we honor and recognize the Utah League and the Minnesota Cycling Association as they celebrate their 10th seasons. Congratulations and and thank you to each league, League Directors Dallen Atack and Josh Kleve and the Utah and Minnesota communities for 10 years of dedication and hard work to getting #MoreKidsOnBikes!
In celebration of the entire organization VeloNews created a 25 page “NICA guide” as part of their Olympic edition this past summer. If you have not seen it as yet - you can see the digital version HERE!
The magazine cover shows two former NICA athletes, Kate Courtney and Haley Batten in their Team USA kit ready for the summer Olympics. Articles inside include celebrations of the beginnings to get #MoreKidsonBikes, the Utah League’s Elevate program, Sam Schultz Montana NICA League Director and former Olympian, our Diversity, Equity and inclusion efforts, Kate Courtney’s Sparkle on Scholarship, a look at our brand new Kansas NICA league and so much more!
Enjoy the read and share this with your friends!
Best Regards,
Steve
