Current Message Series: "What's The Difference?"

Now - February 15, 2015

What do we really know about the differences that exist between a Catholic and a Protestant, a Christian and a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Jehovah’s Witness, or a Mormon? How do each of these religions view Jesus? During this series, we will not only compare the different faiths and religious systems, but also focus on how to have conversations that would lead to sharing the only Way, Truth, and Life (John 14:6) who truly sets us free from sin and shame.

Every year we live, we are guaranteed at least one thing: constant change. Some of these seasons of change are saturated with the sense of life and laughter while others are filled with depression and despair. Our upcoming message series, focused on Old Testament Psalms, will allow us to catch a glimpse of real people experiencing real life issues with raw emotion. Through each season there is a fresh discovery of God’s faithfulness. No matter what season you are in, come and experience the authenticity of the Psalms which point us to the Good News found only in Jesus.

Christ in the Psalms 8

Lenten Worship

February 18 - March 25, 2015

Wednesdays, 7 p.m. | Dinner at 6 p.m.

Our Lenten Worship series "Christ in the Psalms" begins Ash Wednesday, February 18, at 7 p.m.

The book of Psalms is full of powerful words of the soul as well as promises for the health of the soul. Each Psalm is a song that points to a moment, a feeling, a hope, or a sorrow. As we immerse ourselves in Psalms this Lenten season, we invite you to join us in searching for Christ in the Psalms. This is no easy search and isn’t simply about finding prophesies of His work. Rather, we will read, study, and search to discover the promises of Christ in each and every line and, by the power of the Holy Spirit, draw closer and closer to Him.

The Landing Final logo

The Landing

In February we will talk about "Chaos". Whether it is from the stress and uncertainty of our future, the pressure that comes with our relationships with others, or even the anxiety of where we are with God, chaos can start to feel like it’s everywhere. It’s no surprise that God never intended for our lives to be defined by stress. He invites us to bring our worries and anxiety to Him, and when we do, we find that He does not just remove the chaos from our lives. He replaces it with peace.

Come to the Landing on scheduled Sunday evenings in the Hangar from 6 - 8 p.m. Bring a friend and join us as we build community, enjoy some food, and worship God.

Upcoming dates: Feb. 8 and 22, March 8 and 22, April 12 and 26.

For more info. contact ben.marsh@faithstl.org / 314.375.1125.

Next Steps

Connect Classes 2015

Throughout the year, Faith will offer a wide spectrum of classes, each one intended to allow participants to get the Gospel life through His Word, experience the Gospel life together, and give away the Gospel life in your neighborhoods and networks.
Four Connect Classes will be offered this winter. Sunday classes: 10:45 a.m. to noon with childcare through 4th grade. The Monday class: 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The Gospel-Centered Life - Now - March 8, 2015

This class will help you understand how the Gospel shapes every aspect of your life. The first half of the class will overview the Gospel and the last half will demonstrate and then experience this together with two or three others. Once equipped, you can begin a rhythm of being more deeply formed by the Gospel with others. The class meets downstairs in Rooms B05|07|09, and is led by Dave Wacker.

Gospel-Centered Family - Now - March 8, 2015

This class is about more than developing well-trained, well-rounded children. It focuses on whole families growing into God-knowing, Christ-confessing, grace-receiving, servant-hearted, and mission-minded believers – adults and children together. This class meets downstairs in Rooms B11|13|15.

Employed for Life - Now - March 23, 2015

This class is especially for those seeking employment (unemployed or job seeking) and wanting to understand God’s plan for employment. The good news in this class is that you are “employed by God who loves you very much." This knowledge changes the way you conduct your job search, identify and thrive in your work once you find a job, and live your life empowered by the Gospel. This class meets downstairs in Rooms B07|09, and is led by David Caito.

Lent Devotional Booklets

Complementary Lent devotional booklets will be available in the lobby. These devotionals are designed to help you go deeper into God's word during the Lenten season.

Follow The Way

Daily Prayers for Lent | Take time each day of Lent to read a prayer from this booklet to remember that the way Christ lived and died for us transforms the way we live our lives for Him.

Living The Gospel Life

Daily Devotions for Christians on a Mission | The daily devotions in this booklet highlight the concepts of being sent, demonstrating faith in action, and being mission-minded each day of Lent. Suggested activities are associated with preparing our hearts, souls, and minds to reflect on the suffering, death, and resurrection of Christ and His mission for us.

The Parables Of Lent

Daily Devotions on the Stories of Jesus for Lent | Pastor Dean Nadasdy takes us through some of the most well-known and beloved parables of Scripture and relates the events described there to the events of Lent we experience, helping us to apply the divine messages of these stories to the story of our life in Christ.
