At the end of a busy week in Canadian politics, our National Director, Faytene Grasseschi, has posted a Facebook Live chat about some of the big breaking news issues from this week.

Please click on the image below to watch the video now (or scroll down to read about the issues.)

Female Genital Mutilation // VICTORY!

We are thrilled to report that the Government has agreed to keep the warning about Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in Canada's revised Citizenship Guide.

michellerempel

MP Michelle Rempel has led the charge urging the Government and Min. of Immigration Ahmed Hussen to include the warnings in the updated guide. The draft update leaked in 2017 revealed the current portion on FGM and other "barbaric practices" were to be removed.

We thank MP Rempel for her ongoing work on this issue and also our amazing members who signed the petition, contacted MPs, and helped spread the word about this important issue.

What an encouragement that we can accomplish great things when we work together!

PatrickBrown

Ontario PC Leader, Patrick Brown, resigns:

Patrick Brown resigned as Leader of the Ontario PC Party early Thursday morning after two women came forward with accusations of sexual misconduct.

This type of allegation is serious and we are encouraging members to pray for all involved and affected by this situation.

From a political perspective, Brown's resignation comes just 5 months before the provincial elections on June 7th, 2018 and a new party leader will need to be named.

BREAKING: It was announced just this afternoon that MPP for Nipissing, Vic Fedeli has been named interim leader. Fedeli is not socially conservative. (Click here and here to learn more).

The leadership vote will happen on March 24th.

Here is what we are asking you to do now:

1. Pray.

Please pray for the two women and their families, for Patrick Brown and his family, and for the truth to be revealed.

Please pray for the PC Party and those making decisions that will affect the province of Ontario.

2. Get Your Vote: Buy a Membership.

The PC Party has announced they will elect a new leader on March 24th. In order to vote for the most righteous leader, you have to become a party member. Memberships cost $10 and you must be at least 14 to purchase one.

This is an incredible opportunity to steer the province of Ontario towards righteousness. Please take action today.

Two Other Sexual Misconduct Allegations:

The same day that news broke of the allegations against Patrick Brown, similar allegations were brought forth against two other governmental leaders.

KentHehr

Liberal Minister of sport and persons with disabilities Hon. Kent Hehr stepped down from the Government Cabinet Thursday after allegations of sexual harassment emerged on social media. Prime Minister Trudeau accepted Min. Hehr's resignation.

jamiebaillie

Also on Thursday, Nova Scotia PC Leader Jamie Baillie was forced to resign both as party leader and his seat as MLA for Cumberland South over allegations of 'inappropriate behaviour'.

Again, sexual misconduct allegations are serious. We pray for all involved in these situations and that the truth will come out quickly.

We also pray that everything needing to be shaken in all levels of government in order for Canada to come into alignment with God's original intent for the nation would be shaken.

(To stay on top of breaking news and important articles from across the nation, we encourage you to join the MY Canada Facebook group where we post national news and announcements numerous times each day.)

Thank you for praying for our government.

God bless you and God bless Canada!
