Chris and Marcy Christoff

Chris Marcy

Marcy and Chris Christoff

Looks like the family duo of Chris and Marcy Christoff will bring a classical mode this month. Versatile musicians both, the Christoffs provide technical expertise with a friendly presentation. Welcome back you two.

Matt Bliton

Matt Bliton

Matt has 3 CDs and lifetime of songs and stories to share. He doesn't talk about it much but besides guitar he plays a mean harmonica!

Johnny Z

JohnnyZ LilyPearls

Johnny Zawacki

In the late 1960’s, Johnny Z began his performance career as a folk artist, occasionally opening for the majors of the day, such as Friend & Lover, Steve Goodman, and Jerry Lee Lewis (the latter, a truly unusual pairing at a UAW union hall, in Lansing, Michigan), but generally finding audiences in coffee houses and social/political rallies. He also happens to be a Coffeehouse regular! Johnny also has a new CD out.

Cheryl Caesar

Cheryl C1

Cheryl Caesar

Coffeehouse favorite, Cheryl Caesar is a multi-talented artist in several modes (writing, poetry, painting, drawing and more). Having lived in Europe for many years she has an interesting view of the world. Cheryl is the secretary of the Lansing Poetry Club, and helps organize regular readings and workshops. She's also president of the Michigan College English Association, which offers a yearly Conference for teachers of writing.

Celestial Thunder

CelestialThunder 7766

Rebecca Hoogstraten, Suzanne Levy, Bruce Howard

Celestial Thunder is a three piece band featuring Rebecca Hoogstraten on lead vocals, Bruce 'Harpo' Howard, vocals and harmonicas, and Suzanne Levy on guitar and vocals. They play a blend of original music written by Suzanne as well as covers in the folk/Americana/blues/country genres. They met through sheer happenstance and formed a bond around a shared love of
music. They've been playing together for about three years.

Sue Rosser

Sue Rosser works at MSU's Veterinary College by day and has had a long tenure as a fine singer when not at the College. She performs with the MSU Choral Union as well as at church and other functions. Tonight she'll share the wonderful melodies of a couple Carpenters songs accompanied by the talented Alyssa Snelson.

Tom and Mary

Tom Mary 2023

Mary Koenigsknecht and Tom Heideman

Tom Heideman and Mary Koenigsknecht are two of the best of the Lansing area music scene, performing regularly in events all around town. Tom hosts an internet radio show, Tunes with Tom, on Sat afternoons.

Mary Fox

Mary Fox

Mary Fox

Mary is a long-time area poet, performing regularly in the Lansing Poetry Society readings. Her friend and poetry colleague, Rosalie Petrouske wrote about one of Mary's publications: "This evocative collection highlights the many ordinary moments that make up a life. From the simplicity of “waiting for rain” on a summer’s evening to a nostalgic walk through a graveyard in “the chill of early August dusk,” each line should be savored and praised."
