Holy Week Services

We are now in Holy Week. We will have shared Holy Week services with Grace UMC and New Church UMC.

* Inman Park UMC will host a Maundy Thursday worship service with communion tonight, April 13 at 7p.
* New Church UMC (1561 McLendon Ave NE) will have prayer stations set up in their sanctuary during the day on Good Friday, April 14 from 11am - 1pm.
* Grace UMC will be hosting an Easter Sunrise service on the Beltline at 7a on April 16. All are welcome, including our four-legged family members. Click here for location and more info.

Easter Celebrations will begin at IPUMC at 9:30a and will include kid's crafts, games and egg hunting! Easter worship will be at 11a in the sanctuary.

What is Holy Week?

Holy Week is the week preceding Easter. It is the last week of the season of Lent. In Holy Week, we follow the last days of Jesus’ life, from his entry into Jerusalem to his crucifixion to the days before his resurrection. Click here for more info and ways you can observe Holy Week.

SERVE: Strong Bodies Needed!

Beloved and long-time IPUMC members Liz Benton and Rose Mary Ludwig are moving! We need some strong bodies to help them move their larger pieces of furniture. If you are willing and able to help, please meet at the church at 8:45a this Saturday morning. We will travel together to their house in Candler Park where we'll load the large pieces onto their rental truck. They are also taking their appliances, so if anyone that has experience hooking up electric and gas appliances can come along as well, that would be very helpful! SERVE: Feed the Farnsworth Family!

Our IPUMC family has grown again! Lisa, Andrew and Lorelei Farnsworth welcomed baby Alex on March 10…and we want to nourish them! We use a great online tool, www.TakeThemAMeal.com. You can click here or just go the www.takethemameal.com, enter the last name Farnsworth, and the password is nourish. You’ll see days available as well as a bit of detail about preferences. Meals start this Saturday, April 1. You’ll see all these details on the site as well. Take Them a Meal also includes lots of meal/menu suggestions, recipes, as well as meals you can purchase and have sent.

CONNECT: Join us at the Wild Goose Festival!

We're excited to announce that Kristen Vincent will be leading a workshop and having a booth at this year's Wild Goose Festival! If you've never heard of it, to put it briefly it’s a 4-day Spirit, Justice, Music and Arts Festival. But it’s so much more than that too!

Come hang out with us and hear amazing speakers including Nadia Bolz-Weber, William P. Young (author of The Shack), Diana Butler Bass, and many others, including a number of Upper Room authors. There's also music, Beer & Hymns, food trucks, camping, and all manner of zaniness. It always draws some of the best contemporary Christian speakers and musicians. Seriously, not to be missed!

Kristen will be offering a workshop on her new book, Beads of Healing. She'll also have a booth where she'll be selling prayer beads, holding crosses, Deeply Loved merchandise, and much more!

If you would like a copy of Kristen Vincent's newest book, Beads of Healing, they are available for purchase in the church office. Proceeds from books sold here at the church will go to IPUMC. The books are $14 each (the church would make $5.60 on each copy sold).
