Kingston Transition meets Thursday May 13th at 9am

Please join us on Thursday May 13th at 9am for our monthly meeting on zoom. We welcome everyone, individuals and organizations involved in Kingston and the surrounding area.
Participants say it is a great way to find out what is happening in the city, and how we can help make Kingston a better place to live for everyone.
Last month we had updates on the Kingston Equitable Internet Initiative, on the city's Climate Action Plan, and on the third Kingston Women's Bike Fest - did you know May is Bike Month? We heard more about the CAHOOTS program (Crisis Assistance Helping Out On The Streets) run by Samahdi and how establishing a CERT training (Community Emergency Response Team) could help both the city and its residents. We learned that community input will be crucial for the success of the new zoning initiative.
