We’d like to take a moment to thank all who supported the library by making a purchase, as well as a huge THANK YOU to our volunteers who decorated, set up the Book Fair, manned the registers and packed it up. We couldn’t do it without you all. It’s October, and we’re still getting up to speed with our Birthday Book Club. We will be sending home flyers shortly for students whose birthdays have fallen in the first three months of school. More information on our Birthday Book Club can be found on our library webpage (https://mountainlionslibrary.weebly.com/). | It's time to bring in those new and gently used coats for the annual Junior League of Austin Coats for Kids drive! Mills families have such generous hearts, and we are always overflowing with donations to help keep local families in need warm during the winter. There will be a donation basket with a sign marked "Coats for Kids" in the entry way of the school across from the office. Just drop them off, and the Community Outreach Committee will take it from there! The drive runs from Monday, October 28 through Friday, November 22, 2019. I'm not saying we're competitive, but let's really show our Mountain Lion spirit and win the competition for elementary schools this year! Chair, PTA Community Outreach Committee | The Mills S.T.E.A.M. Lab is an imaginative, hands-on lab full of maker supplies, science kits, and robots inside Mills Elementary! Want to help us keep it stocked in paper towel rolls and pipe cleaners? We have three easy ways you can donate supplies this year. The lab and all of its contents can be used by every teacher and every child in the school. Due to space constraints, we cannot take random donations! Please carefully read the direct donation list before you drop anything off. 1. Direct Donation There will be a yellow bin labeled "S.T.E.A.M.
