Dear Friends,

Today is Winter Solstice. Yule is here, Christmas just days away. Usually, I try to make these holiday newsletters as cheery as possible. But 2020 has been, well, quite the year.

Can you tell I'm trying to be polite? Tactful? I don't want any late night visits from the outgoing ghost of Christmas 2020!

I've had quite enough of this year and am sure you have, too. In fact, I'll be at the door on New Year's Eve, broom in hand, ready to sweep the bugger straight to oblivion.

We're not there yet, and much as I wish I could grab Devorgilla's red plaid shoelaces, wriggle my fingers, and work some magic to whisk us into 2021 now, this minute...

That isn't possible.

So I've done something that is...

I have a FREE BOOK for you! Today through Dec. 25th, Sins of a Highland Devil is free to download on Amazon. Times are hard, we're all scraping the barrel these days, worry is never far. And so I wanted to give you a little something extra...

Hours spent away from any cares and in the pages of a beautiful story guaranteed to sweep you away into a world where love rules, the good guys win, and a happy-ever-after is guaranteed.

Sins of a Highland Devil is book one of my Highland Warriors series. If you haven't yet read the book, grab it fast because it'll go back to $3.99 after Dec. 25th.

Get your FREE copy by clicking here.

Please note: I am not sure if the book is free worldwide. If your country isn't included, my sincere apologies.

Here's a mini-blurb...

Sins of a Highland Devil

When the Scottish King commands three feuding clans to resolve their dispute with a trial by combat, proud Highland warrior James Cameron ‘The Devil’ soon learns that he’s fighting for much more than his beloved glen and that his greatest triumph will be winning the love of beautiful Catriona MacDonald, his enemy’s headstrong sister.

More Goodness!

I've just launched a new blog! My first post (a welcome greeting) went up yesterday.

The blog is Coffee, Tea, or Books - a nod to my airline days. It's intended to be a fun and upbeat gathering place where you can learn about new releases, sales and/or giveaways, and other book happenings.

Of course, I also wanted a platform to just chat about this and that. The things that interest me, and hopefully you, too. If you enjoyed my previous blog, Tartan Ink, shared with late author Karen Ranney, and my long-time friend Kathy Garuti, you should feel right at home visiting Coffee, Tea, or Books.

I hope you'll drop by. Better yet, follow the blog so you receive all posts. They won't be daily. Just when I have something to say or news to share.

Snuggles and Devorgilla will surely make occasional appearances. And I'm planning to keep Tartan Ink's author interviews. Now and then, I'll review books I love. And because it's my blog, there will be lots of whimsy and magic, the little things in life that amuse me.

Bottom line, it'll be a fun and positive place. And a fast and easy way to keep up with my book news.

You can find the blog here.

I'm looking forward to welcoming you aboard!

That's it!

Now is the time to sign off, so I'll leave you with a Florida Christmas tree. That's sand, not snow. And the decorations are shells. But the holiday spirit is there all the same. At least, I smiled when I came upon the tree on a walk recently.

If you have cold and snow, please enjoy it for me. We've had some wonderful cold snaps recently and I hope that remains so through New Year. (longer if I had my way) Winter should be wintry!

A Midwinter Solstice evening walk is a holiday tradition I keep every year. And tonight's outing will be even more special because of the great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. I've been watching nightly as the two planets inch ever nearer and tonight they'll form the "Winter Solstice / Christmas Star." If you're also excited and hope to see it, here's wishing you a clear sky!

Here's also wishing you and yours a safe, and healthy holiday, full of love and warmth and goodness. Keep your chin up and your gaze forward. The New Year is almost here. And this year more than ever before, we need blessings and goodness.

Something tells me 2021 will be wonderful.
