Happy Summer!

I feel like it's going too quickly and am trying to soak in each day of this beautiful warm weather as I know autumn will be here in a flash.

This summer was a bit unusual as the bulk of my weddings are in the next 2 1/2 months - it will be a busy stretch but I'm so excited to get to work with so many wonderful couples!

Tomorrow I head to Middlebury College to photograph the centennial of their language program - I've also been doing a number of real estate jobs so between everything I don't get bored often :)

Norah is loving summer, being outside, and especially exploring the water. She'll be 20 months on Saturday and has new words every day - this morning we saw a deer in the field so she's been on repeat all day "deer! deer! deer! deer!"

▪ In early June I drove down to RI to meet baby Eve my best friend Sarah's newest addition - what a sweet girl!!
▪ I met up with this fun extended family at Basin Harbor right before July 4th - it was a perfect day for photos!
▪ Sweet six month old Jack was a ham and I loved meeting him and his parents

I know from here on out it will be hopping with albums being ordered and shipped out which I love - I love digital but there is something about having a physical wedding album that I feel is very important.

I haven't been sewing much lately but have been trying to read regularly....

▪ I LOVED "And the Mountains Echoed" - really beautifully written and told
▪ I also LOVED "The Signature of All Things" which was written by Elizabeth Gilbert who wrote Eat, Prat, Love -such amazing creativity and imagination to weave such a beautiful story.
▪ I was very curious about "The Magical Art of Tidying Up" - I confess I haven't gone through the process mostly because I feel pretty cleaned out already but I do like her philosophy
▪ Eleanor and Park was an enjoyable read but it wasn't one of my recent favorites although I have heard it's quite critically acclaimed - just goes to show everyone has different tastes

For summer meals easy is the goal.....
