In Livingston and Montana as a whole, we have patiently been waiting for spring to come so we can get back outside and enjoy this vast outdoor playground. With spring and summer, also come tourist season. I've already felt the increase in traffic and people in our little town and know that this is just the beginning. So many local businesses rely on this season and are gearing up in preparation. And while we deal with more people in the area and having to take alternate routes to get where we need to go in town, we welcome the tourists who come to enjoy that same outdoor playground that we do.

Pinky's Cafe has long been a local favorite and tourist destination for delicious all day breakfast and tasty lunches in downtown Livingston, Montana. Pinky's recently went through a transformation and came out with a fresh new look inside and out. Made from scratch food and amazing service to boot. If you haven't been there lately, go check it out, you won't believe your eyes or your taste buds.
The Project
In preparation for their big reopening, Pinky's needed some merchandise to sell in the restaurant, new menus designed and printed and a new website to match their new look.
Markouture was their one stop shop for everything on their list. Diner mugs for serving coffee in the restaurant, travel coffee mugs for taking their locally roasted coffee to go, t-shirts for him and her, hoodies for the cool Montana evenings and of course hats.
We gave their menus a fresh new look and printed them too.
And the pièce de résistance...the website. Simple and clean and highlighting their amazing food and fabulous newly designed space.

Montana Matriarch Takes Root in Livingston
A new community group called Montana Matriarch has taken root in Livingston with the mission of uniting women and improving the community by raising awareness, enhancing skills, and facilitation action. The group was co-founded by local residents and business owners, Rachel Anderson (Markouture) and Shannon Stober (Verve Exchange).
Formerly, Livingston Women in Business, Montana Matriarch has re-emerged with the vision of empowering current and future matriarchs who will play a critical role in creating a healthy, thriving community by leveraging the innate maternal and protective nature of women and channeling those instincts into active civic engagement and operating under a system of locally driven shared values.
The group focuses on three primary objectives: Awareness, Skills, and Action and hosts monthly community forums, quarterly workshops, conducts regular service projects, and maintains an online community calendar that acts as a clearing house of activities, meetings, events and trainings hosted by entities that support their objectives.
The first community forum takes place Thursday, May 11th at 6pm a Markouture, located at 5237 US Hwy 89 S Suite 7, and will focus on the topic of Domestic Violence. Led by Mary Young, Program and Outreach Coordinator for ASPEN, the panel will also include a domestic violence survivor and a Park County deputy. The forum is free and open to the public and all are encouraged to attend and participate. A social hour will follow the forum.
“Our goal with Montana Matriarch is to positively impact the most vulnerable members and environments in our community long-term,” said co-founder Shannon Stober. “We believe that women play a particularly vital role in helping shape our community in a positive way and that by banding together, we can accomplish so much more.”
Montana Matriarch will also be hosting Beer for a Cause at Katabatic Brewing Co. on May 16th from 4-8pm. The community is invited to come learn more about the group and how they can get involved.
