Lessons From Mom
Whether it's "look both ways before you cross the street" or that they really do have eyes behind their head, all of our mothers have taught us something. This Mother's Day, we asked our staff to reflect on some of their moms' most worthwhile lessons.
Melissa Muir- Learning is a gift, even when pain is the teacher.
Paige Agnew- Dream big. You can do and be anything you want to be, so long as you put in the work.
Jeneva Quinn- Be proud of who you are and don't to let anyone make you feel differently.
Wesley Morgan- Love and respect the character of God.
Amanda Willis-Larson- My mom instilled in me to keep pushing on in life, even when life can be defeating and hopeless. I admired that she been through very difficult times in her life and was able to get through it and put others before herself.
Dr. Agnew - Two and 1/2 years ago my mom passed. If I could tell her something, today, I would tell her I am thankful for her guidance. She loved deeply, but did not coddle. She protected like a lioness, but did not uphold wrong. She went above and beyond to provide, but she did not enable. She taught me to have faith, but said, "Faith without works is dead." Shout out to all moms, you have the power to influence and make a difference.
