Requirements to Check-In on Race Day

Required Safety Gear

All teams must have at least two reflective vests, two headlamps, and two blinking LED taillights. These items must be shown to the volunteers in the Safety Zone at the starting line for a team to start the relay. No exceptions! Shirts with reflective gear will not qualify as a reflective vest.

Teams that start after sunrise are still required to have these safety gear items. There may be inclement weather, fog, etc. that could reduce visibility. The volunteers at the starting line and at each transition will let your runner know if safety items must be worn.

Below are links to acceptable items. There are many similar items available online and in local stores.

Safety Video

All participants must watch our safety video prior to check-in. Click here to watch the 3 minute video.

Identification Card

Please be prepared to show your ID at check-in to receive your participant wristband. Wristbands must be worn throughout race weekend. Your ID must also be shown at the finish line in order to purchase alcohol. All race participants must be 21 or over.

Please remember, unlike your typical road race, our course is not closed to traffic. You will share the road and greenways with cyclists, pedestrians, and, most importantly, vehicles. We have worked hard to keep our runners on less-traveled roads, but everyone should be prepared to run safely, with traffic in mind.

Treat your runs on the V2V course as you would if you went out your front door for a run on the road. All runners should follow the rules of the road and normal pedestrian traffic laws while they are running. Unless otherwise noted, runners should run against oncoming traffic.

Here's to a fun and safe event!
