"The sun is shining today – that is exciting for Ohio in winter. It’s the little things that bless me! It is only 24 degrees out though but the sun shining in my window at work feels great! I pray you are all doing well. Tomorrow starts a fresh new month. What fantastic blessings await us in the new month! New month – fresh start – new opportunities to share Jesus’ love with others. How awesome is that?" "My WORD for this week is “express.” “Express” definition is to convey a thought or feeling by words or gestures. Funny story – I tease my husband all the time because when he sees something that is surprising, his facial expressions are over the top. I told him his eyebrows go clear up above his ball cap. So funny – love you honey! But this made me think of how many times our face may not “express” what the other person needs to see. Sometimes because we are human, we may do the eye roll not meaning to but we don’t know what that person may be going through. Sometimes we “express” a fake smile when we want others to think we are ok. It’s ok not to be ok. That is why it is so important for us to “express” only love - even in our face. I am sure we all need to work on this one and I really have no idea why God laid this on my heart this week. I pray that if it was me that needed this word “express” that I will take heart and remember this one every day in all my expressions. Every time Jesus encountered those in need, His expression was that of true compassion. Holy Spirit, guide our expressions to be only what you want us to “express” to others. Let’s all put on our expression of love for each other! Have a super week!" "Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way." ~ Colossians 3:15-17 (MSG) | February Worship ~ Online & In-Person Pastor Mike Hileman ~ Sundays at 11am Austin Young, Pastoral Intern, will be delivering the message this Sunday and on February 26th. These folks have cleaned all over the building this week, with an enormous amount of enthusiasm. They also finished getting all the furniture and area rugs moved back into place upstairs. Of course they made sure to have fun while doing all this work, as you can see from the picture to the right! Other tasks also kept us busy this week. Donations came in for the fall Giveaway, so our crew helped unload and carry into the warehouse. We also made some of our favorite cookies this week - chocolate chip. As always, they were delicious!
