Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the Fringe Festival team, Franny McCabe-Bennett!

Franny is a producer, actor, comedian and playwright with an extensive background in arts administration, focusing on anti-oppression and accessibility. Franny steps into the role of Associate Producer after previously working in a variety of roles with Factory Theatre, Buddies in Bad Times, The Toronto Fringe, The Next Stage Festival, Young People's Theatre, SOULOTheatre, and Soulpepper. She has toured her award-winning solo shows across Canada and internationally. As a proud member of the queer community, Franny looks forward to connecting with the queer artists and stories of Hamilton.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Hamilton Fringe as the Associate Producer," says Franny, "As an artist who was lucky enough to present three shows in as many summers at the Hamilton Fringe Festival, I immediately recognized that this festival and this company are unique. There is a rare alchemy of celebration and professionalism present here that can't be faked or duplicated. I can't wait to bring my own experiences as an independent theatre artist and producer to this exciting, forward-looking and welcoming company and community."

Keep an eye out for an upcoming blog post from Franny to learn more!

The Hamilton Fringe welcomes The Westdale as a new venue for the 2019 festival.

The Westdale reopened its doors in February 2019 after an extensive renovation and will be joining the Fringe family of venues this summer. Our newest venue brings the Hamilton Fringe further west than previous years. Artists and audiences alike can look forward to enjoying this accessible, 340-seat venue in the heart of Westdale's burgeoning cultural hub.
