“The Evolution of the Unitrade Catalogue”

Philately is full of speciality catalogues that focus on a particular area in greater depth than the larger general catalogues permit. The Unitrade catalogue is the only specialized stamp catalogue for Canadian stamps. The current editor has been working on the catalogue since the 2006 edition. This webinar explores the new features that have been added to each catalogue over the last 19 editions, giving an insight into the evolution of the catalogue. We will explore the value of specialized catalogs and the challenges they face..

Robin Harris has been a stamp collector for nearly 60 years. His interest is primarily with definitives, particularly those of Canada and the Great Britain Machins.

He has been editor of the Unitrade Specialized Catalogue of Canadian Stamps since 2005; editor of the Corgi Times (bi-monthly newsletter of Elizabethan II Study Group of BNAPS) since 2001; editor of The Canadian Philatelist since 2019; author of the Canadian Stamp News “Around the World” bi-weekly column since 2011; and author of several specialized books on Canadian definitives.

Robin is a life member of The Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (and Fellow), British North America Philatelic Society (and recipient of OTB Lifetime Achievement Award), and American Philatelic Society.
