I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring!

It has been really rainy here in Northern California for the past week or so. I actually am a HUGE rain lover (when we originally moved here I was bummed it didn't rain more often..I always thought the Bay Area was a rainy place, but that isn't actually the case!)

Everything is greening up and the flowers and blooming and the rain makes everything seem new and fresh.. which is exactly how I feel when I think about spring.

So to get into the spring spirit, I decided I would craft some Easter eggs. My favorite type of egg to work with are the cheap plastic dollar store ones. I don't like blowing (and eating) real eggs as much, and I feel too guilty throwing the egg part away.. so I always fall back on the plastic ones.

Plus I can reuse them ever year.. which is nice.

This year is no different. I decided to decorate plastic eggs.. and make them so they were unrecognizable.

The tools are so simple.. a glue gun and some paint. That is it!

I love how they turned out because they are really sculptural and modern. You wouldn't guess they started off as these colorful things you see before you.

And in case you didn't see these other plastic egg makeovers from last year.. here they are again:
