Hello! Welcome to the weekend!

We might have just done a quick skip right through spring here in Minnesota, as we're suddenly in a series of days in the low 90's and upper 80's. In a way it feels good as we've felt so deprived, with nasty cold and snow through April. And sitting out on a patio for my birthday lunch this week (Salut on Grand Avenue in St. Paul, shown to the right) felt pretty darn awesome. But I do hope the temps dial back a bit and we can have just a liiiiiiiittle more springtime weather around here!

Thank you SO MUCH to those of you who sent me tips on things to do and see in NYC. It made me realize just how much there is to take in, as I'd never heard of a number of items. I'll gladly take more suggestions if you have them - for especially awesome things to do/see/eat with kids (our girls are 16 and 11) while we're there. Please reply to this newsletter - I'd love to hear from you!
