UPCOMING EVENT! SAVE THE DATE!

The Super Sophia Project has an exciting event planned for later this month because July is a special month for us! Sophia will be turning 11 and celebrating 7 years cancer-free! We would love for you to celebrate these milestones with us!
The Super Sophia Project is planning a Fun Fair called "A Day of Love," on Friday, July 23rd to mark these two special events in Sophia's life. From 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., we will have some fun games, food, prizes, a dunk tank, and vendors. Pick up a Love Box™ to fill or make a donation. We plan to have raffles as well, with the funds going towards the purchase of our new Love Boxes™.

LOVE BOX™ COLLECTION DAY:
On Sunday, June 27th we collected items and pre-filled Love Boxes™ for Michael Garron Hospital. The hospital needed NICU, 1-12 months, and teen Love Boxes™. Our volunteers collected Love Boxes™ filled by community members, and spent time putting together Love Boxes™. In a few short hours we had over 300 Love Boxes™ ready to go and loaded in a truck to be delivered the next day to the hospital. Thank you Suzie for making the delivery! A hospital employee shared, "It was so AMAZING to receive so many (much needed) love boxes today!!!! Suzie was a champ helping me unload all those boxes in shipping and receiving! It was probably 40 degrees in there!"

We would like to recognize one of our amazing sponsors. The Children's Book Bank supports our charity by donating new books for us to include in Love Boxes™. They have donated 5000 books for all age groups - from babies to teens. We truly appreciate their sponsorship as the books are a great way for children in the hospital to pass the time and a way for them to have a little break or escape from their current reality. We greatly appreciate the generosity of The Children's Book Bank and their support of children's literacy and our initiative.

We are so grateful to our Super Sophia community of supporters. We have two families we want to thank and give recognition to.

The first little lady pictured below had her 1st birthday and her family celebrated by asking others to give back. "First off I would like to say how amazing you and your family are for everything you do and continue to do. My family and I love the Love Boxes™ it’s something we started to participate in last Christmas and something we will continue to do. It’s such a great feeling knowing you helped put a smile on a child face even if for a minute.
This year for my daughter's first birthday instead of gifts I had asked her family to donate unwrapped toys that we could give to the Super Sophia project. ❤️ keep being amazing! The world needs more people like you." Thank you to this family and their extended family for your kind donations to our Love Boxes™.

The second family we want to thank is Cardella's family and friends. She also recently celebrated a birthday and asked her loved ones to donate money so they could give a group donation on Cardella's behalf to The Super Sophia Project. As a group, they donated $710 to The Super Sophia Project! Thank you Cardella for your selflessness... the impact will make a significant, positive difference in the lives of many other children.
