During your run as you turn left from Mt Airy onto Spartanburg Hwy (3.5 miles into your run), please run through the shops parking lot (located at 2000 Spartanburg Hwy, Hendersonville, NC) and proceed through the grass to the intersection. Follow the V2V race signs. There will be two police officers and cars at the red light intersection to slow down traffic. 2-winner

Relay Contests!

We will have the following contests on race day. Volunteers and staff along the course will be voting!

Best Team Costume - Wear it all day long and the more outrageous, the better!

Best Vehicle Decoration - Your vehicle has to be awesome and street legal.
Please don’t create a safety threat with empty kegs on top of your mini-van!

Best Social Media Post - We love social media! Just create a post that tags us and uses the hashtags #V2V18 and #willrunforcraftbrew on either Instagram or Facebook. The one that we love the most will win. If your team doesn’t have its own social media account, then it should!

Best Team Spirit - Fun teams create a fun environment for all. Show your team spirit along the entire course. Our volunteers will be voting for this winner, so make sure they feel your love!

Safety Video and Requirements

All team members are required to watch our safety video prior to the relay. Please click here to watch it now!

Also, all teams must have at least two reflective vests, two headlamps, and two blinking LED taillights. These items will have to be shown to the volunteers in the Safety Zone prior to coming to the starting line. Shirts with reflective gear will not qualify as a reflective vest.

tracks

Railroad Tracks

Our course crosses railroad tracks six times during the day. Runners on legs #1, #5, #6, #7 (twice) and #12 will cross active tracks.

As awesome as we are, we cannot stop train schedules on race day. Although the railroad companies are aware of our relay, runners should not attempt to cross a track with a train in the crossing area. If runners do have to wait for a train, simply note the total wait time and report that to the timing official at the finish line and we will adjust your team time.
