Prayer

For whom are you praying today?
How can we pray for you?

We are here to pray with and for you, anytime! Prayer needs sent by early Monday morning will be included in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week!

Encouragement

Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement.

"Here in Ohio, we had summer like one day fall like one day then winter blast the next. Crazy weather for sure. Hope wherever this finds you is sunshiny. I have been thanking God for all his blessings no matter how small they may seem. He blesses His children with every good thing. Make sure we are always on the lookout and thanking Him for each one."

"My Word for this week is “BETTER.” Funny this made me think of when we were little, and our moms would kiss it and make it “better” if we got hurt. It is just like Jesus – things may not be going good in our lives, but He will make it “better” for sure. I don’t know how people make it through this life without Him. Let us make sure we are reaching out to others with our witness to make their lives “better” in Him too! We need to share Jesus with others each opportunity we get. So many of our friends and family are going through something right now – would not it be “better” with the comfort of the Holy Spirit in their lives? His loving kindness is “better” than life. He loves us with an everlasting love and wants our journey here on earth to be “better” than ever. And even when we do face adversity, pain, grief, sadness, He is right there with us surrounding us and making all things “better.” If we need to, we can just rest in His presence, and everything will be “better.” There is nothing “better” than being surrounded by His presence. That is a feeling like no other. Holy Spirit surround us with your presence, and we will be “better” for it. Love you all! Have a “better” week in His presence!"

So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory. In your generous love I am really living at last! My lips brim praises like fountains. I bless you every time I take a breath; My arms wave like banners of praise to you. ~ Psalm 63:2-4 (MSG)

News of the Week

Monday was Presidents' Day, so we didn't start our week until Tuesday. We watered our seeds, did some cleaning, and went out on a food shopping field trip. It was a great start to the week!

On Wednesday we all enjoyed time in the kitchen, cooking and baking. Our aspiring chefs made chicken alfredo with broccoli and garlic bread for lunch, with pudding for dessert. They also made a very fragrant herbed yeast bread, using our very own GG herbs. Everyone is looking forward to enjoying that today.

Wednesday evening saw some of the GG board members attending a meeting for a new weekly farmers market being planned for Columbiana. We look forward to sharing those details with you as the season gets closer.

Today - besides feasting on homemade bread, which is absolutely delicious - our crew is doing some cleaning and keeping an eye on the weather for tomorrow. Keeping our fingers crossed that the bad weather passes us by.

Check out the GG table in the Great Room for CSA 2022 information!

Jungle Jam & Juicy Jam

Jungle Jam and Juicy Jam are available in several flavors at Reach for the STARS in Salem and in Columbiana at the Chamber of Commerce office. We are also glad to arrange a pick up at GG.

Jungle Jam: Blueberry Jalapeno,
Cranberry Jalapeno, Hot, Cherry Habanero, Dragon
Juicy Jam: Cranberry Orange, Blueberry Lemonade

We also have:
* Organic Catnip Toys ~ handmade here, with our catnip, cost - $4
* Dried Herbs ~ grown here this summer, dried by our crew, cost - donation
Peppermint, Sage, Lavender, Lemon Balm, and Thyme

~~~~~~~
For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.
.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.
