We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "I pray your week is going great. Here in the Northeast, we are experiencing winter at its best. Snow, snow, and oh more snow. I tease my husband all the time and say we do live in Ohio, and it is January. Snow is on the calendar! Stay safe and warm. I am thanking God for his protection these past few days back and forth to work. Our Heavenly Father watches over us." "My WORD for the week is “broken.” These past couple of years so many of my family and friends have been “broken” by various things going on in their lives. We may be “broken” because we live in a fallen world that causes pain and suffering. We need to understand that, but it is so hard when we are going through our “brokenness.” I want us to try to think of “broken” in a better way. The scripture below says Jesus “broke” the bread, blessed it, and it was multiplied! We may feel “broken” in a desolate place but when Jesus blesses it, we can feel abundance. Our lives may seem “broken” but in Jesus’s hands, we are so much more! He takes our “broken” ordinary life and makes it extraordinary here on earth but filled with glory. His glory – the whole earth is full of His glory – and we are in that place – full of His glory. Let the Holy Spirit transform our thinking and our hearts from “broken” to blessed in Him. He takes our “broken” and turns it to something we can minister to others. Sound familiar? God is here and He loves us so much – He only wants the best for each of us. Let God’s glory spark ignite you!" Jesus said, “Bring them here.” Then he had the people sit on the grass. He took the five loaves and two fish, lifted his face to heaven in prayer, blessed, broke, and gave the bread to the disciples. The disciples then gave the food to the congregation. They all ate their fill. They gathered twelve baskets of leftovers. About five thousand were fed. ~ Matthew 14:18-21 (MSG) | Ligonier Connect Discipleship Training Available for CGCC/CLC members!
