This summer at the
Royal Shakespeare Company

Booking is now open for an exciting range of online and in-person events and performances for you to enjoy at home and in our new open-air theatre.

From rehearsal room sessions and fully staged performances to free pop-up performances, interactive workshops and outdoor activities scheduled from June to September, there’s no better place to celebrate the return of live theatre this summer than Stratford-upon-Avon.

Take a peek inside our rehearsal room in June, as directors Gregory Doran and Owen Horsley explore the daily challenges of bringing Shakespeare’s plays to life in the online Henry VI Part One: Open Rehearsal Project.
Immerse yourself in live, online daily sessions, which will place you right in the middle of the action. Then, at the end of the process, watch the entire play come to life in a live, online rehearsal room run through.
Experience the thrill of rebellion, the brutality of battle and ambition without boundaries as Henry VI Part One: Open Rehearsal Project takes you headlong through one of the most turbulent periods of English history.

Then from July and throughout the summer, we will be welcoming audiences back to Stratford-upon-Avon with The Comedy of Errors. Shakespeare’s fairytale farce of everyday miracles, mistaken identity and double vision opens our new, outdoor performance space on the banks of the Avon, the Lydia & Manfred Gorvy Garden Theatre.
A man arrives in a strange town only to find that everyone knows his name, but thinks he’s someone else. Across town a wife starts to realise her husband is not the man she thought he was (but rather likes it). Will anything ever be the same again?
Come outside and play and join us for a joyous moment of celebration and laughter.

Spend your summer days and nights with us and join us for what will be a season to remember as we look forward to reuniting with family and friends.

We can’t wait to see you online and on the banks of the Avon.
