Settling In - Cisler Family Update Letter

For the last couple of months we have moved our attention from the new building to the property. One of the main reasons that we decided to purchase a piece of property, even when we thought we wouldn’t have the money to build a building, was to have space to serve our growing children and teen ministries. The place that we were renting just did not provide the room to be able to do these ministries in the way we wanted. This piece of property afforded that possibility.

The problem that we had was that we needed to do quite a bit of site work just to make the area usable for children. For the last couple of months we have been working to that end. We have been able to fence off almost the whole property, which now allows us to corral the kids from the busy street nearby. We have also brought in around 1,000 cubic feet of dirt to level off the land and get rid of all the little valleys that could have injured the kids as they ran around. With this site work almost complete we have been able to restart our weekly teen ministry and will now be able to restart our weekly children’s ministry, as well. We are looking forward to the ministry opportunities that this will bring.

We were blessed by the opportunity this month to get away for a week as a family and recharge our batteries. We headed up to the mountains of Brazil and enjoyed a few days of family time. It was a great blessing. One of the highlights of the trip was being able to visit with some missionaries while in Brazil. It was great seeing the ministry that God has given them as well as just being able to fellowship with them. We were also thankful that we got to eat some Pizza Hut while there. It went straight to our hearts… and our arteries, but it was nice to get a taste of home.
