Seattle Recording Artist: Danny Moses

Up and coming artist Danny Moses, earlier known as Danny Moe, began developing his craft in his hometown of Seattle five years ago. Shortly after he recorded his very first song "Danimals" under Dundeal Entertainment. he was sent to prison, which in turn, strengthened his love for music and writing. Upon his release from prison, he took somewhat of a break from recording and music to focus on more pressing matters. In January of 2014, he created a studio for himself and other artists where they could focus on their artistic abilities. There, he worked harder than ever to better himself both musically and personally. 2014 has been a big year for Danny Moses as he has opened a show with Macc Dundee for Kirko Bangz, started his own company called The Good Energy Movement, and will be featured on the "Town Bizzness" DVD. In addition, anticipate his "Good Energy" album as he will be dropping it in September. His company endorses positivity in all forms. From passing out food to the less fortunate to promoting the safety of animals (ArmTheAnimals.com). Looking to establish himself as more than an artist, but an entrepreneur and philanthropist, expect to see more from Danny Moses and The Good Energy Movement.

Born by the name Jamese Williams in The District of Columbia. My father was in the Navy and my mother was a small business owner, but was dominantly a housewife. We moved to California which was where my parents separated by the age four. We relocated to Washington State with family and that’s when the problems began. For the next ten years we would struggle, encountering gang violence, drugs, police brutality, betrayal, and death. I would runaway just to get away from sickness and depression. Overtime my childhood innocence would deteriorate and I would become a woman way before my time. Becoming a mother, learning how to hustle in the street, and still manage to receive an education. As a young girl I would escape through words, I discovered I had a poetic side to the madness around me, it became an outlet along with music. I remember the first time I heard my brother rap. I used to mimic the beats they would make on the wall. That’s when I decided I wanted to rap. Then I discovered I was good at it. Rapping was a way I could tell my stories, both good and bad- The Hell and The Cane. I hooked up with a producer but was scared away by a contract not knowing it was part of the business. I made my first demo at the age of twelve and stopped rapping at the age of fourteen, but continued to write poetry. At the age of fourteen I became a mother, so sacrifice was mandatory. I knew I needed a education to provide for my child. Only to realize I was too young to have custody of my own baby, so the custody wars would began and would continue over the years. So damaged from the pain I took to the streets not caring about anything. The streets and I became one. I hustled. I woke up with thoughts of money, nothing else mattered. I did my best to provide my child with all the materialistic things in place of my psychical being. If I couldn’t be there the money was. I finally got tired and chose another hustle, stripping, and oh was the money good- it was fast and easy. I met a lot of important people along the way and even a few friends. I have to admit that I always loved to perform on stage but hated working on the floor but that is part of the game you have to play. I later on returned to college, I knew that I could no longer live that life. The desire started to grow in me to go back to my music. Things were good but I knew that I was not making a true attempt towards my dream. I went into management for a short while. I still was not satisfied. I knew where I belonged and I always knew. Finally taking my music seriously I started to invest in myself, writing lyrics, buying beats, and studio time. I got burnt a few times along the way and got robbed too lol, but you live and you learn as you go. I am still here, I have a testimony and I believe my music is my calling, the experience, the game, and the prevention for the young and the old because the truth does not change.
