We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "I pray wherever this finds you is in a cool spot. We have felt the heat here in Ohio. No complaints here – just heated observation! LOL. God is so good to us – each day. His blessings are so numerous. I am truly grateful." "I saw a saying this week and God really spoke to me with the Word for this week. “UNSEEN” - which can be happy or sad in a sense. On a bride’s wedding day, she wants to be “unseen” until she walks down the aisle to happiness. We may get ready to take a bite out of a nice juicy piece of fruit and there is a bad spot on the inside which is “unseen” and that would be bad. We can be smiling on the outside but what is “unseen” on the inside is making us crumble. God sees our “unseen” and knows what we are going through. He is right there with us. He knows there are broken parts that we are trying to keep “unseen.” He knows our excitement that we may be keeping “unseen” until the right time. The Holy Spirit wants to share with us those things that may be “unseen” and open the eyes of our heart to glorious Light. If any of you are going through some tough “unseen” things, I pray you would reach out to me because I want to pray for you. Let us keep our eyes on those “unseen” things that we will behold in glory!" So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times; the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever. ~ 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (MSG) | The Compassion of Jesus Booklets New booklets are available in the Great Room from Our Daily Bread's Discovery Series. We have only found one little many-legged friend this summer. Have you noticed a lack of monarch caterpillars in your area? We are very grateful to have plenty of bees pollinating our crops but we are a bit concerned about the monarchs. On Tuesday, we took our first field trip since the pandemic began! Our crew headed to Dillon Fruit Farm in Lisbon for a hot but fun morning of blueberry picking. We returned to North Lima with three giant bags of delicious berries which will go to our CSA subscribers this week and also be turned into jam. Yum! The rest of the week was filled up with weeding, harvesting/prepping for CSA, tying up tomatoes, making catnip toys, cleaning, and more. With the high temperatures, our crew also took plenty of water and popsicle breaks.
