Dear Supporters,

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

WE'RE BRINGING BROKEN HEART LAND TO THE COMMUNITIES THAT NEED IT MOST AND WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! HELP US RAISE THE REMAINING $5,000 WE NEED FOR THE TOUR.

DONATE HERE

BROKEN HEART LAND is almost through a national screening tour. The film directly addresses the critical issues of HIV/ AIDS awareness, lack of comprehensive sex education, and LGBT rights throughout the American heartland where these issues are still considered taboo.

We are committed to making these screenings FREE and open to the public. Our screening tour focuses on 8 states in the U.S. that legally restrict public educators in how they discuss homosexuality. These are many of the same states that are in the headlines on a daily basis regarding their restriction of recent marriage equality rulings: ALABAMA, ARIZONA, LOUISIANA, MISSISSIPPI, OKLAHOMA, SOUTH CAROLINA, TEXAS, UTAH.

RECENT PRESS
. Out Magazine calls Broken Heart Land "a beautiful documentary"
. The Dallas Morning News says Broken Heart Land is "powerful...it really hits home"
. Pulitzer Prize Winner Leonard Pitts's passionate Op-Ed, inspired by the film.
. Documentary subject Nancy Harrington's heartfelt piece in the Huffington Post calling for compassion for HIV positive Youth.

Keep reading to see highlights from the Harrington's journey over the last 9 months and see the difference they've already made. If you are as moved as we are, we hope you will consider donating.

Warm wishes,
Jeremy Stulberg, Randy Stulberg, Eric Juhola, & the Broken Heart Land Team

COMMUNITY REACTION:
"I don’t think I stopped crying, it was very emotional for me. I am from LaPlace a smaller city outside New Orleans, I just came out 9 months ago. I am 19." New Orleans Audience member

“I am speechless. I want this film to be shown in every mall and church in the country. I want people to open their hearts and hear this story. What’s so shocking to me is that I live around here, so sometimes I feel like I live in a bubble and it’s very hard for me still to imagine that only four years ago in Norman, nobody could even say HIV out loud." We still have so much to do." - Audience Member, Washington D.C.
