Welcome to the weekend, my friends!

Valentine's Day. Do you love it or do you hate it? I'm in the theme of the holiday...I happen to love it! Last Sunday, I crafted a couple simple garlands with our youngest daughter. One is hanging over our fireplace and another is hanging in the hallway between our daughters' bedrooms. It was a fun and inexpensive way to spend some creative time together.

Along with a valentine card, we usually gift something small to our girls on Valentine's Day, too. This year, they'll open a game that my sister's family introduced us to over the Christmas break. The original game (link HERE) is for 2 to 5 players, while the expanded/customizable version (link HERE) of the same game is for 2 to 8 players. I purchased the expanded version. Shhhhh...don't tell the kids!

Thank you so much for joining me here each week, for reading the blog, and for following along on social media. I am so grateful for your company!

Have an awesome weekend!
-Brenda

Bon Appetit magazine said that “EVERYONE” is making these salted chocolate chunk shortbread cookies from Alison Roman's new book Dining In (link HERE). Of course, I didn’t want to be left out, so I made them. They are AWESOME!!

Whenever we have overripe bananas, you can bet we're making either smoothies or muffins. My favorite Banana Muffins recipe comes from my grandma's recipe box. Most often, we like to sprinkle mini chocolate chips over the top before sending them to the oven to bake.
