Children's Ministries Sign Up

We are excited to announce we are planning to launch Sunday morning Childcare as well as Collide Kids Wednesdays soon! We want to do this as safely and securely as possible, to protect kids and volunteers. Not only will we continue to follow CDC health guideline requirements within these ministries, (mask wearing, social distancing, cleaning, etc.) but all volunteers must complete a background check (performed by CLC) and a Statement of Faith. Please consider how you can serve your church family!

Children's Ministry

Collide Kids Online ~ First lesson of 2021! What is faith? Well, it isn’t just a fancy word we use to sound special. It’s something that involves deep belief, connection, and action. Once we believe what the Bible says about Christ, our faith is born. In this four-part series, we will learn how to share, show, and grow our faith in Jesus!

Grab your kid(s) and spend 25 minutes together singing, dancing, laughing, and learning! We would love for you to also have your child(ren) memorize this week's scripture verse and motions and upload a video of them in the comment section under the video on the CLC Facebook page! Have a great week, Collide Kids!

Youth Group

We are still on "pause" as we wait to see which direction
the pandemic moves in these post-holiday weeks. We will
jump (carefully) back into meetings as soon as possible.

Prayer

For whom are you praying today? How can we pray for you?

We are here to pray with and for you, anytime! Prayer needs sent by early Monday morning will be included in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week!

Encouragement

Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla for writing these weekly bits of encouragement.

"Happy New Year to all of you. I am excited to see what God has in store for each of us this coming year. “God loves us more in a moment than anyone can in a lifetime.” – Anonymous. Boy, think about that one for a bit. He sure does love us!"

"The word God gave me this week is “THIRSTY.” What are we “thirsty” for? We had ham for dinner on Christmas. I was so “thirsty” the rest of the day that I could not get enough water to quench my thirst. Then I started thinking - if our physical bodies do not get enough water, we can get dehydrated. We need water for our bodies to work properly. On that same note, if we do not get our fill spiritually with God’s living water, we can become spiritually dehydrated. We need to spend more time being filled with His Spirit and being renewed in our mind. I want us all to become more “thirsty” for Him. Connect with Him - seek Him – know Him. There is a song that comes to mind. "The more I seek you, the more I find you, the more I find you, the more I love you." I want that to be our prayer for this year. Let us get “thirsty” for Him! Let the Holy Spirit fill us to overflow. God, we are “thirsty” for your Presence in our lives!"

The Lord will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
~ Isaiah 58:11 (NKJV)

News of the Week

Welcome 2021 and Happy New Year to all! We are back at work and glad to be together. We started off this week with Christmas decoration clean up. Many hands really do make light work!

The non-snowy weather has been great for getting outside and enjoying nature. This week, we have been busy cutting up trees and clearing paths. We have two newly cleared paths through the woods that will help everyone enjoy time spent on the property. We even created a new little bridge across a ditch that often retains water. (We're always trying new things at GG. This was our first attempt at bridge making and it was pretty cool!) Eventually the newly cut logs will be carried and split into firewood for bonfires to come. We will wrap up the week with more outside time as well as cleaning and disinfecting throughout the building.

Jungle Jam & Juicy Jam

Goodness Grows Jungle Jam and Juicy Jam available at Reach for the STARS online: Shop Local.
They even provide curbside pickup in Salem to encourage social distancing. We are also glad to arrange a jam pick up here at GG. Check out our jam table in the Great Room.

you were doing it to me.
