I'm so excited to share a new resource with you today. It's the result of a recent brainstorm that my brain chose to have while I was trying to sleep. Ever have one of those? ;) So I grabbed a pencil and paper and jotted away.

It's called "What's the SCOOP?" and it's a retelling organizer chart that can help kids remember what they need to include when they retell a story. Oh, this is so much fun!

I can't tell you how many times I've sat through student retellings that either included every little detail from the story or left out major characters or events. When kids remember SCOOP, they have the tools they need to retell the story, including the important parts and the order of events. Woohoo!
