Izzy here. I recently came across this video talking about the miracle of Hebrew being resurrected and spoken as a modern living language in Israel and I thought you might enjoy it too. Watch here or at the bottom of this email: https://youtu.be/zVmZ1r6fz1o
One more thought. This video touches briefly on a couple questions regarding the original language of humanity and the language of Jesus, but doesn't give much evidence for the conclusions given. These are questions that I explore in much greater depth, with evidence from archaelogy, history, and related fields, in the forty lessons of Hebrew Quest, and you're welcome to explore them with me here.
Chana's Story
Chana is following Yeshua in a Hebrew way, and she's recently volunteered to help Holy Language Institute with the weekly email and social media! Here's her story.
Shalom! I'm Chana. I'm a wife to one and Ima to three, soon to be four, little arrows that my husband and I are raising up for the Lord's glory!
I've always known about God. I was raised in a Catholic home, attended a Catholic school from k-12, and even spent two years at a Catholic college! But it wasn't until after having my first child and realizing that I knew of God, but didn't have a relationship with Him, that I began to make some serious changes.
I started looking for a Bible teaching church and ended up at a Fundamental Baptist church. It was there that I truly began to understand what Yeshua did for me, and I accepted Him as my Savior.
While attending our small Baptist church I was reading and studying my Bible daily. I also read a bunch of blogs looking to learn from other believers who have been on this journey longer than I. One day I came across some ladies sharing about how the Torah is still relevant for our lives today. Of course this was foreign to me and as I sought to disprove them I began to see they were right! Shortly after that we began keeping Shabbat and the other Feasts.
Connecting with the Lord in this way, created a burning desire to learn lashon hakodesh {the Holy Language} in order to dive deeper in our relationship with Yeshua.
Some of the people we've connected with on our journey were also learning Hebrew. Everyone was learning from different places, but some friends recommended Holy Language Institute.
Once we checked it out, we really liked being able to learn at our own pace, and how simple it was to follow along. Learning a new language is a challenge but the way it is presented really makes it simple to get the hang of it.
We're really enjoying learning together as a family, and finding deeper meaning to the Scriptures through lashon hakodesh!
If any ladies would like to connect you can find me on face book under Chana Brown. If any men would like to connect with my husband you can find him on face book under Hamani Brown.
Many blessings to you all,
Chana B
