CLEAR CREEK PARK

Last Friday was a beautiful day to celebrate the grand opening of Clear Creek Park, right next to the Aspen Racquet Club. The park was inspired by the vision of Richard Seaman, Board Chairman of Seaman Corporation, to create a green space for the benefit of the community.

SUMMER JUNIOR PROGRAMS

Aspen Racquet Club is very excited to offer high-quality summer programming for our junior players of all ages and abilities. There will be several changes from previous years. Each class will have one session per week outside on the clay courts at Wooster Country Club. In addition, the schedule features two-hour blocks to make the sessions more of a camp setting with several options throughout the week. This camp-style setting will offer players a fun-filled, social, and energetic tennis experience. In order to further enhance the players’ experience, we will explore other fun activities such as pickleball, pop tennis, yoga, fitness, and more! Our summer programs begin on May 30. MEMORIAL DAY MIXER

Join us on Monday, May 30 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM for our Monday Morning Memorial Day Mimosa Mixer! This will be a coed round-robin social followed by mimosas and light refreshments.

PICKLEBALL CHAMPS

Aspen hosted a pickleball tournament on April 23. It was a fun day of competition with teams from Sandusky, Ashland, Akron, and Wayne County participating. Two local players, Jack Miller and Corey Beckett won the tournament going undefeated in 5 separate games! Congratulations to Jack and Corey!

GREEN BALL & JUNIOR RISING STAR CHAMPS

Congratulation to Nick Weyer and Hailey Jung! They are our Green Ball and Junior Rising Star tournament champions. Nice work to all who competed!

SUMMER USTA TENNIS

We're looking for players for the USTA summer leagues. If you're interested in playing, contact Kent Smith to assist in finding the best team for you.

GET MOVIN' WITH CARDIO TENNIS

Cardio Tennis uses your favorite sport to give you the best aerobic workout you’ve ever had! We’ll start with a warm-up, then move into a cardio workout and cool-down. You’ll sweat to music, hit lots of balls, and focus on your fitness! Players of all skill levels are welcome. Participants can burn more calories than in an hour of playing singles or doubles. Cardio tennis helps you improve your skills while getting a great workout. Join us Fridays at noon.
