Marcellin 65th Anniversary Luncheon Details

Dear

Thank you for your booking to the 65th Anniversary Celebratory lunch. We are looking forward to sharing what promises to be a wonderful event with you. The response has been wonderful and we have great numbers attending. You never know who you might run into on the day!

Just a bit of housekeeping ahead of next week.

First and most importantly, If you booked on behalf of other guests, can you please forward them a copy of this email as a precaution as we do not have the email addresses for all of those guests. Better still, ask them to get in touch with their contact details.

Details for the day:

We will be running some guided tours of the College ahead of lunch. If you would like to be part of a tour, please be at the main car park (which will be sign posted) by 11.25am.

It would be useful to know numbers in advance , so please contact Prue here to confirm if you would like to be part of the guided tour Email Prue

*We will be serving welcome drinks on the Function Room verandah from 12 midday to 12.30pm.
* Those taking tours will be able to join the welcome drinks on the verandah immediately after the tour which will finish at 12 midday.

Seating for lunch is at 12.30pm.
Dress is Smart Casual.
As next week is school holidays, car parking and movement around the school grounds will not be a problem. There are various car parks which will be sign posted. Some of our Old Collegians will require priority parking near the functions room entrance for mobility reasons. It would help us greatly if you could keep those closest parks free if mobility is NOT an issue for you.

Car Pooling

If you would be interested in car pooling with others coming from your area, please let us know and we will do our best to match you up. You may even like to share a taxi (especially if you would like to indulge in a few drinks!)

Also, if you have mobility issues please let us know and we will assist you with shared driving, wheelchair access etc, close parking spot etc.

Menu

The menu for the day is a delicious Gourmet Spit Roast Carvery.

There will be tender yearling beef and pork legs boned and rolled with crunchy crackling accompanied by hot potatoes, gravy and bread rolls.
There will be 6 salads to choose from.

(We are mindful it is Holy Week, so we are catering for those who have requested a fish meal. And to the other specific dietary requests such as Vegetarian)

Dessert is chocolate cake and or pavlova with berries and cream.
There will be beer, white wine, red wine and soft drinks served.

Post Event

You will be most welcome to stay on in the Functions Room after lunch catching up with others. As it is school holidays, we don't have to worry (within reason) about school logistics.

And if any of you wish to extend the lunch into the late afternoon and beyond, we recommend the Manningham Club (i.e. The Sentimental Bloke) next door - its a very short walk and they would be happy to accommodate you.

Last minute bookings and enquiries

There is some serious last minute research being done by some of our guests to find the whereabouts of their long lost mates from Canterbury Road, with the hope they can get them along next Tuesday. Officially we are closing off bookings Thursday (for catering), but we have some room to move.

Please phone me or Chris if you have any queries. Our contact phone number is 0451 168 655

We will endeavour to keep emails to a minimum from here on in - and restrict ourselves to any significant updates on our official website for this event.

Regards

Prue
