Company in rehearsal |
A residency with Barbara Mahler blossomed this April beginning with workshops in Klein Technique™ for the dance community. The residency continued to grow as we rehearsed with Mahler while on our East Coast tour to Cambridge and New York City.
In FY15 ClancyWorks was honored to have William Evans set a duet on Artistic Director, Adrienne Clancy and noted artist, educator and collaborator, Sandra Lacy.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom and choreography with us, Barbara and William! |
“We like to have ClancyWorks teach astronomy through dance before we teach it. They do a wonderful job introducing vocabulary and concepts through movement. Our students are very receptive to this type of instruction. It also helps to get them moving, increases their flexibility and exposes them to the art of dance.” – Cathy Haddad, 5th Grade Teacher |
We engaged the senior citizen community across Montgomery County with our therapeutic and restorative movement classes. Through our SOAR Program for Seniors (Seniors Organize with the Arts to Rejuvenate) we revisited and attempted new movements with laughter and good cheer. Bravo to all! |
Would you like a ClancyWorks residency for your school? Let us know! info@clancyworks.org |
We've been busy in the Baltimore region in FY15! This past February ClancyWorks Dance Company members adjudicated outstanding middle and high school student work for the Baltimore County Public Schools Student Choreography Showcase. Held at Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts, the festival brought together dancers from schools all over Baltimore County and the surrounding area. |
ClancyWorks continues its partnership with the Americorps Program at MICA/CAC into FY16 by providing dance-making and community-strengthening residencies to Baltimore City residents. Since its inception in 2004, over 40 organizations have partnered with the MICA CAC. We are proud to dance our part! |
Big News! ClancyWorks Dance Company is honored to be part of the 2015/16 Catalogue of Philanthropy!
