Safer Routes to Schools Program
The Austin Public Works and Austin Transportation departments are partnering to develop safer routes to Mills Elementary and Gorzycki Middle Schools as well as connect to existing and emerging infrastructure along Slaughter Lane and Escarpment Boulevard to bring more mobility choices to people living in neighborhoods served by these streets.
The goal is to improve safety for everyone who uses these streets as well as connectivity and comfort to and from destinations around southwest Austin for people walking and people on bicycles.
You can view important information, proposed changes and give feedback by taking their survey by Feb. 27th.
