I am an Independent Pattern Designer!!!
The beginning of my public journey to design sewing patterns has begun. I have been designing patterns since design school, in 2008, but the thought of doing it for a group of sewist, not industry professionals, is a bit nerve racking. I pray you appreciate what I bring to the table and welcome my contributions with the kind of spirit that is our community. I have been diligently working to perfect a few very nice designs. I didn't realize just how much of what I learned in school would be relevant for designing patterns. Woooo!!! More on this later. Please stay tuned. #sewtofitbyadlynn
These Online, live interactive sewing and commercial pattern fitting classes were born from a demand of several supporters to provide you with quality convenient instruction, since you couldn't make it to the store in which I was teaching last May. Fit Friday LIVE!! is a direct outgrow of my services in real life, and has actually become a class time that I personally look forward to each week or so.
Although, after having taken off for over three months during the latter part of 2016, due to vocal cord surgery, it has been a little touch and go to get back to talking continuously for more than an hour none stop in a classroom/live presentation capacity. It is wonderful to be back. I am learning how to protect my vocals as I ease back into live teaching. It so much more different from talking in an interchange with someone, where you have time to rest your voice while you listen to them speak.

The Wardrobe Fit-Along
Since the inception of our Sewing Fashionistas Wardrobe Fit-Along which began in July of 2015, we have steadily made this process a part of our lives as a sewing group. It has also turned out to be quite a trend with my YouTube subscribers and blog readers. I have, amide all my other activities, managed to teach fitting techniques for the White Shirt, a Denim Jacket, a T-Shirt and the Sheath Dress. These may not seem like much, but I tell you, when I'm in a rush, these simple items have proven to be the backbone of my closet. I really like a minimalistic form of dress, with some nice fun pieces thrown in for good measure.
▪ The process will continue this year with a skirt, the pants and several other great pieces necessary to keep our closet ready for any important occasion. This also is leading us to our next project which will run concurrently. So, stay tuned so you don't miss any of the details.
