The ABAC Board of Directors is pleased to announce SHINING LIGHT, a virtual fundraising campaign, with the goal of raising $10,000 before the end of the year.
Funds will ensure that ABAC can continue to promote literacy and creativity through workshops in the art of the book for people of all ages. As a 501c3 nonprofit maker-space, ABAC provides access to its fully-equipped bindery and printshop through its Open Studio program. ABAC’s programming celebrates the excitement for learning that comes from expressing ideas through creative, hands-on experience.

In conjunction with SHINING LIGHT, the Austin Book Arts Center will host a holiday party, Saturday, December 2nd, 6-9PM.

Attendees may support ABAC by shopping for all the bibliophiles on their gift-giving list. Handmade books, letterpress printed cards, bookmaking kits, and gift certificates for workshops will be available for purchase. Attendees will enjoy holiday treats, food trucks, and a raffle of book-related items. In addition, attendees will have the rare opportunity to letterpress print a special keepsake from the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Press Room Collection.
