MPS HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

This is a perfect time for you to pop into your MPs office to introduce yourself, congratulate them & let them know you are praying for them. Missing MurderedWomen

This past Tuesday the federal Minister of Justice, Jody Wilson-Raybould, announced the government is launching the first phase of a national inquiry into missing and murdered aboriginal women. This is guaranteed to be an intense and emotional inquiry for the nation.

Minister Raybould explained, "As a first step, we will meet with the families in the National Capital Region with the goal of hearing their views on the design of the inquiry and what it needs to achieve. And over the next two months, we will hear from more families, other indigenous peoples, national aboriginal organizations and a range of front-line services workers and others."

Please join us in keeping this inquiry in prayer and take a moment to e-mail the Minister of Justice to encourage her as she takes on this difficult task. See action points below.

This past Thursday Trinity Western University won an important battle against The B.C. Law Society when the Supreme Court of BC ruled that the society had violated Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms when they refused to allow graduates of the Christian school to practice law in BC.

This is a tremendous win for freedom of religion and conscience for Christians in Canada.

Please join us in thanking God for the victory and praying that this type of freedom continues to be upheld in Canada.

This past Thursday doctor assisted suicide became legal in Quebec in spite of an outstanding challenge to it.

On Dec. 1st the Québec Superior Court ruled that the law was in conflict with the Criminal Code. After this, the Court of Appeal granted permission for the ruling to be challenged. This means the law still came into effect last Thursday and will remain valid at least until Dec. 18th when arguments will be heard by the Court.

The euthanasia debate will also be continuing at Parliament once the federal government sits again after the Christmas break. The Supreme Court of Canada gave the government until February 6th, 2016 to come up with new legislation after striking down the current law.

It is reported that the federal government has asked for a six month extension on this deadline in order to give time for proper study and consultation.

We are in an important window of time to pray and to make our voices heard to our elected officials on this issue. Please see the action points below.

Will You Help Us Save More Lives Through Prayer?

JusticeSliderExpansionProject

UPDATED:

The Justice Wall has announced an exciting expansion project that we would like to share with you about and ask you to consider supporting in your year-end giving.

The Justice Wall has been mobilizing hundreds of intercessors in prayer for the ending of abortion and human trafficking since 2007. We are grateful for this success but believe it is time to take the vision even further. To this end, the team is now working with a group of developers to automate the site so that instead of facilitating several hundred intercessors it can facilitate thousands, or more.

This is all so exciting because more prayer on these issues will mean more lives saved.

In order to do this upgrade the Justice Wall needs to raise $20,000 by the end of the year.

Raised to Date: $740
Remaining Need: $19,260

All gifts to this project are tax receiptable.
