Dear friend,

The work of the Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development (ICSD) is focusing in 2015 on increasing education within seminaries about the relationship between faith and the environment. Based on major support from the Julia Burke Foundation, ICSD is engaging in a range of actions, including:

DSC 5820
Researching, writing, and issuing the first-ever "Report on Faith and Ecology in North American Seminary Education."
Organizing a day-long seminar on teaching on faith and ecology in Jerusalem for directors and faculty of seminaries.
Promoting resource- sharing and availability of syllabi of faith and ecology courses among seminaries.

Bahai New Year in Jerusalem March 2015

In other news, ICSD staff enjoyed the recent Bahai New Year celebration at the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem, one of the largest interfaith events that takes place each year in Israel.

We have continued to post interviews on faith and ecology with religious personalities in Jerusalem. The most recent interview is with Dr. Mustafa Abu Sway on Islam and ecology.
