Greetings!

Summer was a joyful time of ministry, which included visiting many old friends and brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the diverse Chinese, Tibetan, and Muslim region where we live. The days were long, and the opportunities to safely travel in our region were bountiful.

Please join us in praying for the following friends:

--- Mr. Zhao (60 yrs old), a Chinese Buddhist who has suffered from some kind of stroke and partial paralyzation, lives in a small group home in the mountains for the elderly and sick. Join us in praying for both his health and his soul as we continue sharing the Gospel with him! (also for Mr. Du, our blind friend from the same home)

--- Mr. Jun (and family), a Muslim young man who made a profession of faith more than 10 years ago but has been separated from us both physically and spiritually for a number of years. The Lord recently brought him and his wife and young son back into our lives in a unique way, so pray for God to continue opening doors for us to speak into their lives and hearts!

--- Duke (village school principal), a young Tibetan man who has known Christ for many years, yet is one of only a small handful of Tibetan believers in his remote region. Pray for him to be strengthened in faith, protected from temptation, and built up in the love and grace of Christ, as he continues to live in one of the (spiritually) darkest places on earth!

Summer was also a season of goodbyes, as we had to let go (for now, at least) to two amazing young ladies who had been serving here in our city for one and two years, respectively. Mercy was here for a year, working at a local school and sharing Gospel literature far and wide, and is now back with her family in Ohio, involved in numerous outreaches. Raeha was here for more than two years, alternatively teaching English and studying Chinese and sharing the Gospel with friends, classmates, and even teachers! She is currently back home in western Oklahoma praying and preparing to return sometime next year. Please pray for these ladies, as they walk faithfully in the way Jesus has prepared for them!

Summer was a season of learning for our children (Summer School!) as we helped them catch up on their work after a hectic travel schedule in the USA and Peru earlier this year. The kids have done great as we have even taken homeschool on the road a few times in our summer ministry journeys, and our hotel rooms and restaurant tables have turned into classrooms. They understand that by working hard now, we'll have free time for ministry and fun at strategic times later this fall and winter! Pray for the kids as they continue to study hard into the Fall!

Summer School

We're on our way, somewhere...

Summer was also a season of preparation for me, as I was preparing for the Autumn arrival of some very important teams. I have invested countless hours in researching the locations and preparing the (Google Earth) maps that we will use to target hundreds of unreached Muslim and Buddhist towns, villages, and neighborhoods with Gospel literature (Bibles, tracts) for the first time. I don't say this lightly, but it will LITERALLY be the first time for thousands of people, young and old, to EVER read a verse of scripture or hear the Gospel in any way. The stakes are extremely high. The risk for me and these teams is not small. Pray for me as I finish setting the stage for the busy season of ministry that will begin next week!

And of course, pray for the thousands of families who will be exposed to the Gospel and the person of Jesus for the first time!

In Christ,

Ben, Deysi, Gabriel, Ariel, & Abriana
