My Mama Had a Dancing Heart featured excerpts from classical ballets.

Congratulations and THANK YOU to all our dancers, staff, faculty, volunteers and audience members for an amazing spring show.

Volunteers, if you work for a company that provides a donation to non-profits for employee volunteering (such as Microsoft and Boeing), please don't forget to submit your hours.

You can pre-order a DVD of the performance here. Photographs are still being processed and organized, but we encourage you to catch sneak peeks on EBT's Facebook and Instagram pages.

"Epic," "graceful," "powerful," and "exciting" were just some of the words audience members used to describe our assemblies.

Wow! Another fabulous season of outreach is in the books. This spring, the EBT Magic Bus reached 1,375 audience members during three performances at Sunset Elementary and Newport Heights Elementary. The "Language Arts" theme was brought to life by approximately 40 EBT dancers and our amazing Programming Director, Sarah Jacobsen.

Special thanks goes to Katie Hatfield and Chantell Ray for coordinating costumes and organizing performers at the Magic Bus venues, and to Maggie Hsu and Amina Condel who took pictures and video.

Book now for your EBT Magic Bus assembly next spring. The theme will be "Social Studies: Folktales of the Pacific Northwest."

One of the most rewarding parts of these assemblies is receiving feedback afterwards. An NHE teacher called it “the best assembly of the year,” and a para-educator working with students with severe special needs said, “Usually we dread assemblies with our kids, but Magic Bus was different. They were happy and welcomed to participate in their own way.” Students in the audience chose these words to describe the shows: “Epic,” “graceful,” “energetic,” “powerful,” “gentle,” “exciting,” “funny,” “athletic,” “not boring,” “soft,” and “wild and crazy,” among others.

The Magic Bus will return next Spring with a new theme of "Social Studies: Folktales of the Pacific Northwest." Limited assemblies are available. Would you like EBT to come to your school? Please email info@emeraldballet.org for more information.

Give BIG donations support EBT's Scholarship Fund ... thank you!

A huge thank you to our community for supporting us on Give BIG. We raised almost $500 for EBT's Scholarship Fund. This money will help provide dance education, pointe shoes, performance and competition opportunities for EBT dancers who otherwise could not afford them.

Missed Give BIG? You can still contribute by donating directly through our website at emeraldballet.org. Designate “Scholarship Fund,” or we will determine where funds are most needed. Thank you!
