Here's The Latest #110
March 10, 2018

Happy Weekend! (And don't forget to "spring ahead" - it's daylight saving time weekend!)

Basketball for our girls is officially over for the season, except for some smaller league activities. So this weekend feels a little odd with no basketball. Some time to catch up on things around here, YAY!

A couple of My Favorite Things this week... We are preparing for some time away, to visit family in Florida during our girls' Spring Break. I thought I'd share a couple of my latest favorite travel items. When I was having issues keeping my backpack solidly attached to my carry-on bag recently, Blake went searching for something to help me out. He found some flexible rubber reusable ties (link HERE) that I immediately took a liking to. I used them for my last two travels and completely recommend them. They come in a variety of sizes, for binding everything from small electronics cords to luggage. I even keep a couple extra ties stashed in my backpack now, so handy! The other thing I've come to appreciate when flying is my set of noise cancelling earbuds (link HERE). I used to get so frustrated with my old earbuds whenever I wanted to watch a movie or listen to music on a flight. The airplane noise always competed with what I was trying to listen to. So I was gifted a set last year from Blake and the girls, a joint birthday and Mother's Day gift. They're not cheap, but if this is an issue you're also having, I highly recommend this!

Thank you so much for joining me here each week, for reading the blog, and for following along on social media. I am so grateful for your company!

Have a great weekend!
-Brenda

CRUMBS: What We Made This Week

I made another batch of Pickled Red Onions this week. I (very seriously) hate to be without! This time I added extra red pepper flakes for a little more zing. LOVE.

This has been a very popular recipe with excellent feedback!

Here's the recipe.

I mixed up a skillet of Korean beef this week. (So I could eat it with my pickled red onions!)

If you'd like me to share this beef recipe, let me know - and I'll work on getting it up on the blog!

ARCHIVES: Yum From The Past

These Lime Baby Cakes are fun, ultra tasty, and totally addictive. The buttermilk makes the cake dense and moist. And the creamy cream cheese frosting is the perfect contrast. They work marvelously together.

Get the recipe here.

These Chocolate Chip Scones With Peanut Butter Glaze are light and tender on the inside, with the most beautiful thin outer crust. Sweetened just a bit with brown sugar and then drizzled with a sweeter peanut butter yum, they are a little wedge of heaven.

This is one of my favorite recipes EVER. Slow Cooker Coconut Curry Beef.
