The Break Up

They played together for nearly 20 years, creating a bond of friendship and winning tennis. They competed with fire in the eye, playing to win every time they stepped on the court.

In matching outfits, they were the perfect, “alpha” doubles team, contending with intensity, attitude and tactical smarts. They won the Tuesday League numerous times, and went to three state finals. In 2011 they played on our USTA Women’s 3.5 Travel Team that finished 3rd in the nation.

A family job transfer will take Bev Biltz to Texas. “She’s been a very special player and friend. It’s been a fantastic ride. I’m so grateful we found each other,” said partner Connie Nicholson.
