On Wednesday there were multiple shootings in heart of the nation's capital, including the Centre Block of Parliament.
The details are currently unfolding but so far this is what is known:
There were shootings in 3 locations: the Centre Block of Parliament, the War Memorial and near Rideau Centre (shopping mall).
Two soldiers have been shot and are being cared for in hospital.
Parliament and the entire downtown core is in lockdown. People are being encouraged to stay away from windows and doors.
The RCMP are still looking for, possible multiple, gun men.
It is reported that the gunman at Parliament has been shot and killed.
Reports say that the Prime Minister may make a statement to the nation later today.
