The majestic great blue heron is frequently seen in the marshlands, along the creek beds and gracefully walking on the shores of Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. Now is your chance to stitch your very own custom great blue heron - which is the 4th and last in the exclusive Hilton Head Island series exclusively at Needlepoint Junction.

The great blue heron is a hand painted canvas that will blend several different stitches as well as fibers to create dimension, texture and ultimately a true masterpiece. This kit will come with a detailed stitch guide, as well as all of the threads that you need, in four monthly installments. The first package, which will include your canvas, the stitch guide for that month as well as all of the threads you will need, will be ready the first week in September. Then you will receive your next packages the first weeks of October, November and December. For those that are local we will have corresponding classes the beginning of each month. Time and day to be determined.
The timing is perfect as your heron will be complete before the winter holiday season!! Your final package will also include suggested finishing. I love the heron as a beautiful framed piece or a tray. However, if you would like your Heron to be finished differently we can help you with that!

We are taking orders between now and August 1 so that all canvases can be custom painted and ready in time. The finished piece measures approximately 9”x 11.5”. As each heron is custom painted, and all of the threads special ordered, we will be taking a deposit of $150 to secure your order.
We have priced these kits with and without stretcher bars with some added incentives for those early birds. The kit includes everything - stitch guide, canvas, threads and a list of finishing suggestions.
